Brothers, Daedalus, Elphinstone
Our Pelagic Passage itinerary is built for divers who crave big water, blue horizons, and unforgettable offshore encounters. This Brothers, Daedalus, and Elphinstone route ventures far from the coastline into the open Red Sea, where dramatic walls rise from the depths and currents bring life in from the deep.
At the Brothers Islands, sheer drop-offs and iconic wrecks meet the possibility of oceanic whitetips and thresher sharks cruising the blue. Daedalus Reef delivers expansive plateaus and some of the Red Sea’s most reliable hammerhead sightings, while Elphinstone’s legendary north and south plateaus are known for close passes with oceanic whitetips and schooling barracuda.

What to Expect
Red Sea offers year-round diving, but marine behavior shifts throughout the year.
January–March: Lower season with cooler water temperatures and excellent visibility. Reef diving is strong and conditions are calm, though pelagic sightings are typically less frequent during this period.
April- June: Warming waters and improving sea conditions. Pelagic activity begins to increase offshore, with vibrant reefs and excellent overall diving.
July- September: Peak blue-water season. Oceanic whitetips, hammerheads, and schooling fish are more commonly encountered at offshore sites like Daedalus and Elphinstone. Warm water and stable conditions.
October- November: Transitional period with excellent visibility and balanced conditions. A strong mix of reef life and pelagic encounters.
December: Mild temperatures, clear water, and reliable reef diving.

Defined by dry desert air and remarkable clarity, the Red Sea offers dependable diving year-round, with seasonal variation driven by wind and water temperature.
January – March
Water temperatures: 22–24°C (72–75°F)
Air temperatures: 20–25°C (68–77°F)
Excellent visibility with cooler water and occasional wind fronts. Fewer pelagic sightings, but strong reef diving conditions.
April-June
Water temperatures: 24–26°C (75–79°F)
Air temperatures: 25–32°C (77–90°F)
Calmer seas and increasing water warmth. Offshore sites become more stable and pelagic activity begins to rise.
July- September
Water temperatures: 27–28°C (80–82°F)
Air temperatures: 30–35°C (86–95°F)
Warmest water of the year with generally calm conditions. Peak season for blue-water diving and offshore pelagics.
October-November
Water temperatures: 26–27°C (79–81°F)
Air temperatures: 25–30°C (77–86°F)
Balanced conditions with strong visibility and excellent overall diving.
December
Water temperatures: 23–25°C (73–77°F)
Air temperatures: 20–26°C (68–79°F)
